i hate george bush.
i'm listening to his press conference (on NPR live webcast) right now, and i am just overwhelmed with what an awful, awful, awful president he is. how plodding, unoriginal, arrogant, obfuscating, and willfully ignorant he is. he's a greased up richard nixon.
here's a fun word game: who has the best word to describe george bush? thinking about the awful state of the american executive branch (and then the legislative branch too, sigh) is just so depressing that I usually try not to think about it, and rely on expletives as a mental shortcut. but let's think of some really choice words to describe how we really feel.

I wrote to HEB asking how to express the concept ‘so f-ing stupid you don't know whether to be annoyed or to pity the person.’ (I also used an English word that expresses that basic idea as an example, but it's mean and I don't want to write it down here. Although at my embarrassment and using the word in the email, HEB replied, 'God, you and your American sensitivity.')
He said the best word would be
MOTAKHALIF
I’m guessing that in arabic it's something like مت خالف , but really I have no idea. But now at least I have something wonderful to say about people (supervisors) who are awful!!!!!
